ED, not A&E

The A&E people pantang to be called A&E. Oops, it's ED.

We were there as early as 8am. An hour of teaching marks the beginning of the 2 weeks. As newbies, we were all quite uncomfortable and just stood at the side waiting to be called. Apparently, people in the ED were too busy to layan us. And we were not motivated, and dare not be too motivated on the first day. I don't like over motivated newbies, so I don't wana be one of them.

The first patient has DKA. We were lucky enough to witness most required observations of this 2 weeks session. Too bad we were kicked out when catheterization took place. Who asked us to be students.. Was called twice just to apply pressure to stop bleeding, and that has kept me happy for the next few minutes - it's better than doing nothing at the side right ;)

Sean/Shawn was very nice to layan all my brilliant or stupid questions, and was kind enough to show me lots of procedures. But 8am till 2pm was a bit too long for a day. Who said only those in theatre can faint, those in ED could too, for the long hours of standing.
